25 Things About Kristin

1. I really don't like to do these kind of things but I find it fascinating to read other people's so I figured I might as well do it this one time.
2. I am so thankful for grace.
3. My toes are really long. My second toe is longer than my first (it is as long as my pinky finger) and surprisingly doesn't look freakish. Well, at least I don't think so.
4. All my life I wanted at least 6 kids, then I had one and I thought maybe 4 would be OK, then I had 2 (in less than 2 years) and figured that 2 was not such a bad idea. We now have 3 and they are all awesome!
5. I would love to live and serve in an orphanage in Africa.
6. I wrote a book for my oldest daughter's 6th birthday.
7. I always wanted to be a drummer in a rock band and actually took a few lessons in middle school but life was busy and the dream was squashed by athletic commitments. But now thanks to the Wii, my drumming dreams have been reborn!
8. I had a gas stove explode in my face when I was 9 years old. My eyebrows and eyelashes were burned off and my nose, ears and eyelids were blistered but I blinked at the right second to save my vision. I was terrified of cooking on that kind of stove until about 10 years ago. I now really wish my stove was gas instead of electric.
9. When I tore my ACL they used donor tissue to reconstruct it so really I am only 99.9% me.
10. When I first started coaching collegiate soccer I was only 8 months older than the oldest player on the team.
11. I used to hate pink but now that I have 2 girls I love it, although my favorite color is still light blue.
12. I hate being cold and I could sit in front of a heating vent for hours.
13. I have a slight addiction to diet Coke.
14. I once had the perfect sneak out of the house plan that would have worked had it not been for a friend of my parents who called them when she saw me out. It was so good...my kids will never get away with anything.
15. I would love to be an FBI agent, if only it didn't involve the possibilty of being killed.
16. My eyes used to be hazel but sometime in college they turned blue.
17. In high school I transferred from a school with a class size of 60 to one with a class size of over 600. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
18. I still live in the same town I grew up in and the number of times I have driven down the main street must number in the millions.
19. I am related to John Quincy Adams on my mother's side.
20. My father's ancestors fought in the Revolutionary war, making me a member of the DAR (Daughter's of the American Revolution).
21. I thought it was hysterical when my daughter came home and shared her excitement over learning about the Sperm Whale. So middle school I know but there was just something weird about my 6 year old repeatedly saying the words "Sperm Whale". Who would choose such a name? hahaha!
22. I used to be a perfectionist but now I am a work in progressionist and I'm ok with that...I think.
23. I am super competitive. There is not one thing that I am good at losing.
24. I have had 13 teeth pulled, 4 of them were permanent but I still have my wisdom teeth.
25. I spent 3 months in Hawaii, 2 months in New Zealand and 7 hours in between in Fiji, although I could only marvel at it's beauty through the airport windows during the layover.
